As a child, I painted because it was fun. Later, I painted because it gave me a sense of right within myself. Now, I still paint for those reasons and it has also become a career I love. Instead, I spend hours, days and sometimes weeks, visualizing the end project. Having used water colors, charcoal, ink and acrylics, I have found oils to be my medium. By layering colors in all their different shades and values with big brushes in bold strokes, I create a background, rich in texture and depth and at that point, I know what the piece will be.
