In staging this stone, brick, and timber home for one of Knoxville’s premier custom builders, Merri Lee chose pieces on a grand scale that complemented the generous dimensions of the house, but she didn’t restrict herself to a single theme.

“We tried something a little different in every room to showcase different looks Merri Lee had been conceiving,” says Robin Irwin, GG Interiors design manager. “In that respect, this isn’t like a typical home we would design.”

For example, in the dining room, Merri Lee chose a sleek, modern table set made of glass and acrylic, but for the adjoining keeping room, she created a more casual look with oversized accessories and bright colors. And she emphasized the “living” in “living room” by using large, comfortable pieces with understated but elegant finishes.
